You just got your first mirrorless camera…
…or you’re thinking of getting one soon?

But you don’t know how to use it to shoot quality videos and what specs really matter for your video style?

My mirrorless journey started a few years ago with the Panasonic G85, which is still an impressive camera for the price. With this camera, I shot my first 3000$ commercial and I also started my YouTube channel, which got 6,100,000+ views until now.

I love shooting mirrorless cameras as they are smaller, more lightweight, and cheaper than most DSLR & cinema cameras. So they perfectly fit my shoots for companies in the travel industry and YouTube.

WHY SHOULD YOU LEARN FROM ME?

My approach to mirrorless cameras is to figure out their limits. Because if you try to shoot videos beyond their limits, you will end up with bad-looking footage and many additional hours editing it.

In this course, I start by teaching you about all the different camera specs that matter for video. After that, you learn how these specs affect different shooting styles. So you know exactly what to look for and how to get the most out of your camera. But it doesn’t end here. I also explain to you exactly how to use your camera during the shoot. Parts of that are correct exposure, composition, and camera movement.

That makes you confident behind your camera and will bring your video quality to the next level!

The Modules

Module #1 – Understanding Cameras

We’re stating with an intense but also important module. Here I explain to you every single camera spec in detail, that affects video. So alone after watching this module, you will be able to make better decisions regarding the settings of your camera and what camera to buy.

Module #2 – Use Cases

Depending on the style of video you want to shoot and the environment, the specs from the first module affect your video footage more or less. So in this module, we’re talking about different scenarios and which specs are most important in which case.

Module #3 – Camera Recommendations

If you’re still in the process of choosing a camera, this module will help you with making a final decision. It can actually save you money on your next camera purchase.

Module #4 – Lenses, Crop Factors & Adapters

Something that’s often overlooked when buying a camera is the lenses! That’s a big mistake as the choice of lenses is oftentimes more important as the camera itself. So in this module, I teach everything that has to do with your lens. So you understand what’s going on before light hits your sensor.

Module #5 – Pre-Shoot Settings

After a lot of theory we’re getting more practical in this module. We’re now using everything we learned in previous modules to set up your camera perfectly for the shoot.

Module #6 – Camera Usage During the Shoot

Just setting your camera up once before the shoot, unfortunately, doesn’t give us perfect results. To really maximize the quality of your footage, you have to make constant adjustments while shooting. In this module, you’ll learn exactly how to use your camera and make necessary adjustments when the scene changes.

Module #7 – Perfect Lighting

One aspect of videography that is actually more important than the camera itself is good light. If you can control the light that hits the sensor of the camera, the camera itself becomes nearly irrelevant. So in this module you will learn how to set up lights and what to do if you have no control about it.

Module #8 – Composition & Camera Movement

Composition & Camera Movement oftentimes go along with each other. The composition of each shot is important to lead the attention of the viewer. Camera movement makes the shot more interesting to watch and can show different angles of a scene. In this module I teach you the most important aspects of composition and camera movement.

Module #9 – Microphones

Even more important than the visual part of the video can oftentimes be the audio. Getting a good microphone is therefore often essential. In this part of the course, I teach you about the different types of microphones and when to use them. I also give you some general tips to improve your audio.

Module #10 – Bringing it All Together

In this module I give you a reminder of everything you learned and how to use all of this to produce the best quality video possible with your camera.

Pascal is a world traveler and video creator, originally from Germany, currently based in Thailand.

When he started creating videos, it was quite hard as quality gear was very expensive or not existent.

Today the problem is no longer the gear, but finding the right one and learning how to use it properly. So he made it his mission to teach people how to create great looking videos with affordable cameras and gear.

I was heading away on a trip and wanted to do more video instead of photo and so like alot of people I jumped onto YouTube for some pointers. As is typical with YT you are inundated with creators of different levels and after going through some who were just “plugging” their page all the time, did not sound confident, who did not produce good results or who were just bad educators I lucked out and found Pascal.

After absorbing hours of his quality content I wanted to learn even more and so signed up to his “Learn With Pascal (Full Access)” course and I learnt so much.
The content was delivered in the same way as his YT video’s but with more details and I have learned ALOT.

Definitely worth every dollar and if you really want to get the most out of your gear and make great content you have to learn from Pascal.

P.S I love the accent and the accidental swearing, it really makes the lessons more enjoyable.

“I viewed several of Pascal’s YouTube videos and became instantly engaged in his content. I then registered in one of the courses on his learning platform and again became so informed that I had to enroll in his entire “Learn with Pascal”package. This is a must-have platform of training to have access to–stop missing out!!!”

“This is a very helpful course. Especially the modules for shooting transitions and video editing were very helpful to me. I didn’t realize before, that it can make sense to do panning in every clip you shoot because maybe you can use it later for transitions. It was also very helpful for me how to put clips together, that they fit perfectly together. Even small things with maybe the steps from a person who is walking. Also, the video on how to do speed ramping was very well explained! I had a lot of problems with speed ramping before. But now, I think I understand it better and I am able to use it in my next video.”

“My wife and I are dedicated to improving our skills and Pascal’s courses have filled some critical gaps in our training. His modules dig deep where necessary, but the content is fun and interesting, in addition to being super easy to follow. Where other courses just scratch the surface across a broad range of modules, Pascal has effectively separated each discipline into affordable individual collections that truly make you a better creator. The content is worth 25x the cost. Can’t wait to continue working our way through his library!”

“I would recommend this course to anyone that’s looking to improve their videography skills or even someone who’s a total beginner and wish to learn.”

“If you’ve learned something or got inspiration from my YouTube tutorials, I’m sure that my courses will greatly benefit you.

I know from experience that it feels hard to invest in educational products instead of new camera gear. But one big reason of my success is that I constantly try to learn something new.

So by signing up for this course, you invest in something much more important than camera gear, which is YOU!”
